Comparing your options?

A ledger tells you what happened.
PurelyREI tells you what to do next.

REI Hub, Stessa, a spreadsheet — they're all built to record what already happened in your portfolio. PurelyREI records it too, then goes further: a dedicated Virtual Assistant team plus an AI layer, Dr. Cashflow, that flags what's actually worth your attention.

The difference

Recording vs. interpreting

Ledger tools — REI Hub, Stessa, spreadsheets, and similar — are built to record transactions. That's table stakes, not the finish line. Here's where PurelyREI picks up from there.

"I started self-managing my own portfolio wanting to grow it, not just keep it afloat — but I couldn't do that flying on gut feel. The moment I had real clarity on my numbers, growth stopped being a guess. That's what I built into PurelyREI: a real Virtual Assistant handling the books, and an AI that shows you exactly what it takes to hit your next goal."

Questions

Switching questions, answered

What's the difference between PurelyREI and REI Hub?

REI Hub is a ledger built for rental bookkeeping: you enter and reconcile, it reports. With PurelyREI a trained Virtual Assistant does that categorization and reconciliation daily, and the result gets interpreted — rent drift, expense anomalies, and how each property compares against the rest of the portfolio.

What's the difference between PurelyREI and Stessa?

Stessa is self-service: you connect the accounts and keep the categorization current yourself, and it reports on what's there. With PurelyREI that upkeep is someone's job, and the dashboard is the starting point rather than the deliverable — Dr. Cashflow flags what's actually worth acting on.

Can I keep using QuickBooks or my current setup?

Nothing has to be replaced as a condition of starting. Onboarding begins with an Optimized Blueprint audit of the legal, accounting, banking and rent-collection setup you already run, and what stays versus what changes is decided there, against your specific setup — not by a blanket rule.

Isn't this more expensive than ledger software?

Per month, yes — it's a different purchase. With ledger software you're still the one doing the bookkeeping. At $75 base plus $15 per unit per month, the comparison that matters is against the hours the books take you now, or a general bookkeeper who doesn't work in real estate.

Does this replace my CPA?

No. Your CPA files; PurelyREI makes sure what reaches them is accurate and current all year, so tax season isn't a reconstruction project. It keeps books tax-ready — it doesn't prepare or file returns.

What does switching actually involve?

A 30-minute call to walk through your portfolio and what PurelyREI would do with it, then roughly a week from signing up to hands-off. Setup is a one-time $300 fee, which covers the Blueprint audit and onboarding.
